Children's Ministries
The children of Barboursville Baptist are a large part of our ministries.
Sunday School is provided for all ages. Once a child has reached
the level of toilet training, we begin to orient them into the Sunday
School hour for instruction as the parent agrees to this. Likewise,
this process continues on Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings
as well.
The children’s ministries are coordinated under one large
group of people who each serve to provide ministry through Sunday
School, Children’s Church (ages 3 through Kindergarten), Junior
Church (Grades 1-3), AWANA (Ages 3 through 6th grade), and Mid-week
ministries.
On Wednesdays, children in pre-school are treated to age-appropriate
learning experiences by a group of volunteers rotating this privilege
weekly. This begins at 7 pm as does the elementary choir called
the “Baptist Bunch.”
Providing ministry to this next generation challenges us at times.
But, the blessings are incredible. After all, Jesus told us to “Suffer
not the little children to come unto me for of such is the Kingdom
of God.” From their little minds we are taught about the Kingdom
of God.
We value them and cherish every opportunity given to impact them
with the love of God.
