Core Values Statement

These statements seek to summarize the ministry of BBC and to clarify the things which are most important to the people who make up the family of BBC. 

• We rely on God’s Leadership to guide us in all that we do and on Prayer to be the means by which God communicates with us.  As His plan is revealed, we submit humbly to the Lordship of Christ.
• We are committed to Bible Centered Preaching as the foundation of our church in all of the teaching ministries of Barboursville Baptist Church.
• We engage in the act of Worship as a way to glorify God, Fellowship with the believer, and Outreach to the non-believer.
• We strive to provide a comprehensive Christian Education program in an effort to help all people become fully committed followers of Christ.
• We value the act of Compassion to reach out to visitors, families, and members who are in need of Christian love and understanding.
• While maintaining traditional Christian teachings, we strive to present ministries that meet the changing needs of our church and community.
